As for me I basically live 5Km from the places. It has been my favorite place since I was a child. What hooked me with astanmarg? The view offered whether it was morning or evening every time the beauty of it struck me. I usually visit there 4 – 5 times/week and every day the views from there put me at ease and I have never been bored there no matter the conditions.

About Astanmarg

Astanmarg is one of the best viewpoints in Srinagar located 5km from Fakirguri a small rural village. From Astanmarg you can view the panoramic beauty of Dal-lake, Zabarwan Hills, and the houses around it. It’s true that there are other places like Shankaracharya temple, Hari Parbat Fort, and Pari Mahal but what sets astanmarg apart is that it’s not known by many people and is never crowded

  1. Reach Shalimar Garden

    This is the first stop of your journey to astanmarg.From their only 11km ride to your destination

  2. Via Chandpora or Harwan Garden

    You should decide which route you want to take! Both routes have good road

  3. Reach Dara

    Don’t get confused both routes will take you to the same place. From here you can even ask locals for directions

  4. Reach Fakir Gujri

    Your Last Stop. Your destination will be 1km away. Enjoy

  • 1. Paragliding Spot

Many adventurers usually miss this spot as this place is a little higher. You can reach there by foot, bike or car. From up there you can see Srinagar with a 360-degree view.
